We're so glad to offer this versatile ribbon in our shop. Petersham ribbon has been used for centuries for binding in millinery and clothing making. Its unique unbound edges are able to be pressed into complex curves to create a polished finish for whatever the application. Our petersham is 100% rayon, the closest we can get to silk as silk petersham is incredibly hard to find. This ribbon is not bright/bleached white but rather a soft white.

Care Instructions
Silk ribbons should be handled with care. Silk satin can permenantly show stitch marks, pin marks, pleats, etc. and can also stain from water exposure.
For application: Carefully pin with silk pins or quilting clips prior to stitching to lessen marring of the finish.
For Pressing: Iron on medium to medium-high setting. Lightly steam if necessary.
For laundering: Hand wash only, preferably dry cleaning. If water is necessary, fully submerge ribbon length in water and lay flat to dry.
