Orders & Shipping:

Do I need to create an account to order from VFG?

Yes and No. Virgil's Fine Goods allows customers to check out as a "Guest" if  desired. However, for online classes an account is required in order to access class materials. Visit our Class FAQs page for more information.

What is a Pre-Order?

A Pre-Order is when customers order an item in advance, before it is physically available, with the understanding that it will ship sometime after.

Pre-Orders with Virgil's Fine Goods are typically open for 1-2 weeks. After the pre-order is officially closed, items ordered will be shipped after the item arrives at the VFG Studio. Shipping notifications will be sent once the item(s) have shipped.

When will my order ship?

In-Stock orders are usually filled and shipped within 3 days. Custom Commissions will be discussed with the client wherein a deadline will be agreed upon by both parties.

Pre-Orders ship when they come available. In-stock items bought at the same time of the pre-order will be held and shipped with the pre-order. If you need an item from your order expedited, please send me an email and we can work something out.

Who do you ship with?

All orders are shipped with USPS or Priority International shipping. We highly encourage this avenue as tracking is included in the price. If you would like to ship with another carrier, please contact us to discuss possibilities. 

Note about UK shipping: To keep with the new policies, orders over $120USD can be shipped to the UK. Unfortunately we cannot ship for lesser values.


Can I ship my order to two different addresses?

Yes! But you will need to make two orders with their corresponding shipping addresses. If you buy items for someone other than yourself, please add a note at checkout with their order including their name and shipping address so I can create a gift receipt and make sure I have everything correct. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges.



Returns & Refunds:

Can I cancel my order?

In-Stock or Pre-Order items may be cancelled prior to shipment.  Custom Commissions require a 50% deposit that is non-refundable for customer cancellations.

Can I make a return or exchange?

Virgil's Fine Goods accepts returns or exchanges within a limited time-frame. VFG must be contacted regarding your intent within 5 days of delivery. There is a 10% restocking fee for returns of stock items. Shipping charges for exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.

Returns must be return-shipped within 5 days of initial delivery, based on tracking information sent with your order. Exchanges may be done within 10 days of the delivery except cut yardage items.

Cut yardage items (ribbons, fabric, lace, etc) are not eligible for returns or exchanges. 

I missed the live online class! Do I get a refund?

No. A missed live class does not result in an automatic refund or deduction. For more information regarding online classes, please visit our Class FAQs page.

 

Pattern Use:

Can I use Virgil's Fine Goods patterns to make items for sale?

Virgil's Fine Goods patterns are licensed for personal, non-commercial use. Please contact me if you would like to discuss using our patterns for your business. 

A customer has asked to use a Virgil's Fine Goods pattern for a custom commission. Can I do that?

Yes. VFG allows other sewists to create custom commissions for clients so long as a pattern was purchased by the client. In other words: each customer must have their own copy of the pattern (digital or physical).
