Martha Washington's Sweet Water Recipe || 1749-1799 Linen Perfume
"A sweet scented perfume"
"When you use this water... sprinkle your clothes therewith in the folding." These are the instructions from Martha Washington in her family recipe book regarding this perfume recipe. It can be used on linens, clothing, curtains, or yourself!
The profile of this concoction is a warm, sweet but herbaceous aroma with a musk overtone. The sweet smells heighten with heat, so when applied to warm linens or the body the smells may change. Also, do remember, everyone's body chemistry is different, so when applied to the skin, allow the fragrance to sink in to enjoy to the fullest.
