Virgil's Fine Goods Exclusive Printed Reproduction Fabric on 50/50 Organic Cotton/Peace Silk.

"Diana" is a direct reproduction of a gown fabric in Amber's collection of antique textiles. The original is a two-piece afternoon shirt/skirt dress with a wide neckline on genuine muslin, thought to be most likely made around 1900-1910. Examination of the fibers in the fragments indicate that it is a cotton fabric, but amazingly the gown in its entirety can fit into a child's shoebox without incident. Genuine muslin is incredibly sheer and almost extinct. To learn more about this amazing fabric click here. This reproduction is a slightly brighter interpretation of the original, with a palest yellow background and cobalt flowers.

Our reproduction is tightly woven, very sheer and has an incredible weightless drape with a smooth texture, very similar in hand to the original. This fabric would be suitable for shirtwaists, dresses, children's clothes, etc.

This fabric is a certified organic textile, made with peace silk. Sold by the yard. VFG Fabrics are limited quantities, but may be restocked throughout the year.
