1780s Cap Bundle Paper Pattern || #G106
Difficulty: Early Intermediate
Includes Patterns for "G106A Dorothy," "G106B Georgina," and "G106C Flora."
The G106 Cap Pattern Bundle includes 3 styles of caps present and popular during the 1780s in Europe and North America for colonist fashions. These patterns were developed by careful study of portraiture, sketches, and images from the period and are intended to be a great introduction into cap making.
The pattern instructions are for hand-stitched construction, as studied in period originals. Techniques explained in the instructions include rolled hems, whip-rolled gathers, and the butted whipstitch seam, to name a few. Also included are tips on trimming and styling your cap to your personal taste.
