The potions were compiled into a collection in 1885 and rediscovered in the 20th century. The exact date of this recipe is unknown but the scent profile is typical of the late17ths-early 19th century timeframe.
The profile of this concoction is a warm, amber & spice aroma without being sharp or overpowering. This would be classified as a musk or woody scent and is not floral.
