Handmade Cotton Mull Spotted kerchief suitable for impressions 1770-1820. Based on original 18th century fabric prints and mezzotints from the 18th century. This hand-blocked style is depicted on middle-to-lower working classes on both men and women. This particular color way is present in mezzotints of working classes dating from 1783 to 1815. Bright colors and spots are very suitable for these impressions and seen in many satirical prints.
This entirely hand-stitched kerchief is made from very fine custom hand block printed flowers onto Cotton Mull and stitched with 100% cotton thread. Available in both a full square and half-square — this kerchief has a rolled hem as found in originals to give a delicate and light appearance. Fabric is very lightweight. Visible hand-stitching throughout the piece. This kerchief is great for summer, as it is very light. Sometimes referred to as a "neckerchief" or "handkerchief" it can be worn several ways depending on your needs.
